Grief

Today is the anniversary of the loss of our son. It never gets easy. It has been 8 years and not a day goes by when I do not think about what could have and should have been. It is in his honor I lift up this prayer.


"Dear God, only you know why things happens as they do. Only you know the reasons and the circumstances. Help me to heal, to know that understanding some things is not necessary, just to trust in you and in your wisdom, and your plan. Help me to honor you through this time, and to have some sense of peace knowing that my child (loved one) is with you and is rejoicing now. Help me to know that in your time I will be with them soon. and that the time we miss here is but a blink in the eternity we will spend together. Comfort me Father, embrace me in my moments of grief and sadness. Let me know your love and grace are sufficient for all of the things we face. Amen"
