Small Blessings

"Dear Lord, For the small things that i never notice I give you thanks. For the morning commute that allows me time alone with you, I give you thanks. For the morning coffee with the family, I give you thanks. For the opportunity to watch my children sleeping before I wake them, I give you thanks. For the cloudy sunrise, I give you thanks. For the quiet evenings with my loved ones, I give you thanks. For the unexpected reunion with a friend, I give you thanks. For the hugs from my children, the voice of a distant friend, the full moon glowing radiantly over us, I give you thanks. For a sister whom I adore, I give you thanks, for sisters-in-laws that feel more like sisters, I give you thanks. For brothers and brothers-in-laws that are some of my best friends, I give you thanks. For all of the small things that I too often overlook and do not appreciate to its fullest, I give you thanks. Still foggy mornings, Starlit sky's, rain and wind. I give you thanks.

Holy God, you are so magnificent that even in the details your majesty is present. Help me to see you in all of these small moments, the seemingly insignificant, the eternal instants that are so important to my day without me even knowing it. I give you thanks.
And for loving me enough to make these things happen. I give you thanks. Amen"
