What does the Lord Require of you?

During the worship service yesterday I was thumbing for the Prophet Isiaah and my bible stopped in Micah, I noticed that i had something underlined there and so I read it quickly before the old testament reading began. In this short verse I was reminded of one of the most beautiful verses in the OT.

Micah 6:8 "He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly, and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God."

"Dear Lord, as I begin another week let me to keep in front of me this verse, to know that your requirements of me are simple and it is I who make it complicated. Let me know when I am acting justly towards others, to know when the opportunity arises and when there is someone in need. Hwlp me to love mercy, and to seek it, to look for those who are in need and to show them you. And mostly Lord, allow me the honor of walking humbly with you. To feel your presence in my life, and to know what an honor it is to be a child of the King. I am humbled by your love and compassion for me, let me know you are here, and help me to not loose focus on you. In your name I pray. Amen"
