For our Spouse

Today is my 9th wedding anniversary, so I thought it appropriate to take the opportunity to give thanks to God for my wonderful wife and the blessing she has been in my life. I hope you will take the opportunity to give thanks for your spouse.

"Dear Lord, I remember vividly my prayers to you asking for a godly woman to come into my life, a woman that would love you and love me, I remember asking that you bring a woman that would be all that I needed and more. Who would stand by me, and support me, and enable me to love her unconditionally. You have given me that Lord, and I am so thankful to you for hearing that prayer and answering that prayer. For a woman who is so strong, and who loves you so dearly, she is a blessing everyday to me. I thank you for the privilege of having her in my life, of waking up with her everyday and going to sleep beside her each night. For the mother she is to our children and the compassion she shows everyone she comes in contact with. For the dedication she has to her family, and the total commitment she has to our marriage. Through the tough times she has stood strong when I was not able to, through the good times we rejoiced together, and through the mundane times she is so enjoyable. Each day she is a joy.

I pray for her, that you will continue to bless her, I lift her up before you, and ask that you will shine on her, that your grace will fill her, and your strength will lift her. I pray that you will continue to bless me with her presence in my life, and that we will enjoy the rest of our lives together. I pray that you will guide her decisions, her life and her desires will be your desires, that you will hear her prayers, and give her strength when I cannot.

Lord, I thank you for her, for her loving me, and for the honor I feel for having her as a companion and partner in this life. For the life you have given us, for the strength she provides, and for the joy of loving her.

Today Lord, I lift this prayer in honor of my wife, and pray for her, and I give you thanks for her, for who she is, what she stands for, for the glory she bestows and for the radiance she possesses. Thank you for the love she fills me with and the love she shares. I honor her Lord, and give you thanks for her. In your name I pray. Amen"
