Sunsets and Stars

This past weekend my family and I spent a few days away at Lake Murray in South Carolina. I took some of this time to do some fishing with my sons. We sat on the dock and marveled at the sunsets and watched as the stars emerged. Enjoying the beauty all around us. The fishing was not as good as hoped, but the time I spent with my sons, watching and admiring the beautiful sunsets was time well spent.

"Dear Lord, everyday you amaze me with this beautiful world you have created. I do not take the time often enough to give you praise for your creation, I do not pause often enough in my "busy" life to take in the surroundings. Thank you for the times I spend with my family, for the beautiful world you have created that we get to enjoy. For the colors of the sunsets and the twinkling of the stars, for the creatures we enjoy, and mostly for the ability to spend this time with you. I praise you for the beautiful surprises of daylight turning into night, for the intricacy's of creation and the splendor of all that is around us. Help me to see you more in the small things, in the fish, the clouds and the sunsets. Help me to share that glory with my children so they too can marvel at and with you. Help me today to see you in everything. Amen"
