Finding God in the business of life

"Dear Lord, as we look at the business of our lives, give me the wisdom to pause and notice you in everything I am facing. Give me the courage to stop, take a minute and allow you into this busy schedule we create. Most of the hecticness of our lives is created by our need to fit in, to fill important, by placing too much emphasis on the unimportant. Help me to place my priorities on you and your will for my life.

Help me today to pause, to listen, to notice you. So often, we are so busy being busy that we forget whom we should be focusing on. We forget the most important parts of our lives, spending time with you. With work, school schedules, football games, soccer practice, dance rehearsals, we do not make time for you. Help me to stop and make the time to be with you and to look forward to this time.

So as we pray, allow us to not rush this part of our day, but to spend the time we need to be with our father. Amen"
