Today is the Day

Today is the day Lord, today is the day that I put you first, today is the day that I lay aside all of the distractions and I listen intently to what you intend for me. Help me to lay aside all of my earthly desires and focus on what you want for me. Help me to quit being so selfish in my wants and focus instead on what you want for me. Help me to know that what you want for me is far better than what I can imagine for myself. Help me to know that what you have planned for me is far better than what I can ever plan for myself. Help me to know that all that I have is from you and all I will ever have is because of you. Help me to lay aside my self ambitions and to listen close to what you will have for me to do. Amen.
