Finding Patience

It has been said many times and even on here that one of the hardest parts of faith is being patient and waiting on God to act. Today, like many we pray for patience and seek God's direction for things that do not seem to be moving as quickly as we would like.

"Dear Lord, as we begin another week in these scary times in our country, I come to you with an open heart and mind. Asking that you give me a sense of peace and patience in these times. Grant me the wisdom to wait on the Lord, to know that you are busy with your plan, and to understand that your timing is not directly related to my timing. Let me know with certainty that what you have in store for me is far greater than I could ever hope to accomplish on my own, and that your will is always magnificent and worth the wait. Help me to enjoy the journey instead of fearing it, help me to be able to see you and to know you. To find you in the small things that seemingly do not matter and in the things that do. Help me to find your mercy and to understand that there is only one God and you are in control, your wisdom, your love and your grace is always sufficient for all that we need.

In your name I pray. Amen."
