This morning while reading in James, I ran across this verse: "Blessed is anyone who endures temptation. Such a one has stood the test and will receive the crown of life the Lord has promised to those who love him. James 1:12 NIV
"Dear Lord, each day I am tempted, each day things come to me that challenge my faith in you. Each day, I am faced with a choice of to make a decision for you or for myself and against you. Help me oh Lord to know the difference, to stand strong for you, to understand that it is you and you alone that brings joy to my life. Help me to resist the temptations of the evil one and to always do the right thing. To make good decisions, and to stand strong. When my faith is weak, give me your strength, when my soul is weary, stand with me, when my heart is broken, provide healing, when life provides nothing but pain, give me comfort.
Help me oh Lord to love you completely, and to love others unconditionally, to embrace all opportunities to offer your grace to others, to seek situations to share your name and your love with others. Help me to love others as myself, and to always Act justly, love mercy and to walk humbly with you. Amen."
