Good Morning God

"Good Morning God, as I wake up today, I am again amazed at the splendor of your creation. I am mesmerized by the beauty of the winter woods, with the magnificent trees, whose branches reach for the sky like fingers of old men folded in prayer. The whole world brings glory to your name. The details of the landscape is present, often hidden by the foliage, but now reveals every detail of your creation. I feel the cold air fill my lungs and am reminded of the warmth of your love.

This day begins with the chirping of birds, squirrels scurrying and people busy getting ready for their day. In the midst of our busyness, let us pause for a moment and give thanks for all that you have given to us, and remind us that all blessings, and challenges can draw us closer to you. I give you thanks for this day. For the joy it brings.

Today we also pray for those who are waking up today grieving the loss of a loved one, waking up to an empty space in a bed, a place setting vacant, and plans for funerals are heavy on the minds of many. Many are waking up today in Hospital rooms where scared hearts are screaming for comfort, parents are worried about how to feed their children, and keep their homes. Provide the comfort and peace that only can be found in a relationship with you.

Today I give you thanks for all you are and all you are doing, and ask that you will help all of your children find something today that will draw them closer to you and enjoy you today.
